As a soloist, Jestin is known for his insightful and nuanced interpretations of music from the baroque era to new compositions. Jestin has performed concerti with orchestras around the US and has performed at venues national and international, including: Harris Hall in Aspen CO, the Von Liebig arts center in Naples Florida, the Performing Arts Center, The Lawrence Memorial Chapel, and Harper Hall in Appleton Wisconsin, Searcy Hall and the WPA performing center in Brevard NC, Bates Hall, Jessen Auditorium, and the Long Center in Austin Texas, and most recently at the Mediterranean Opera Studio in Palermo, Italy.

He has participated in masterclasses with renowned teachers and ensembles including: Paul Roberts, Edna Golandsky, Herbert Stessin, Robert Macdonald, Josef Kalichstein, James Nelley, The Guineri Quartet, The Miro Quartet, Rita Sloan and Gilbert Kalish. His principle teachers include: Larisa Topolkaravea, Dmitri Novgorodsky, Catherine Kautsky, Norman Krieger and Anton Nel. He holds a BA with honors from Lawrence University and an MM in piano performance from the University of Texas at Austin.
